How to download TikTok videos
Every method starts with the post's link. In the TikTok app: open the video or photo post, tap Share (the curved arrow) and choose Copy link. On a computer: open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address from the browser bar.
On Android
- Copy the video link in the TikTok app.
- Open snaptik.meomeo.app in Chrome and tap Paste. The first time, Chrome may ask for permission to read your clipboard; choose Allow.
- Tap Download without watermark (or the HD version, or MP3 audio).
- The file goes to the Download folder; Gallery or Google Photos will show the video after a few seconds.
On iPhone and iPad
- Copy the video link in the TikTok app.
- Open snaptik.meomeo.app in Safari, tap Paste, then choose Allow Paste.
- Tap a download button and, when Safari asks, choose Download. The blue arrow icon in the address bar shows the progress.
- Open the Files app › Downloads, tap the video, then tap Share › Save Video to put it in the Photos app.
Requires iOS 13 or later. Other browsers on iPhone (Chrome, Firefox) can download too; the file still goes to the Files app.
On a computer
- Open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address from the browser bar (Ctrl+L then Ctrl+C; on a Mac, use ⌘).
- Open snaptik.meomeo.app, paste it into the box (Ctrl+V) and click Download.
- Pick the version you want. The file goes to your Downloads folder.
Add snaptik to your home screen
snaptik installs like a small app, with no app store needed, and takes up almost no storage.
- Android (Chrome): tap the Install app button at the top of the page, or open the ⋮ menu › Add to Home screen.
- iPhone, iPad (Safari): tap Share › Add to Home Screen.
- Computer (Chrome, Edge): click the install icon at the end of the address bar.
Download straight from the Share button (Android)
Once you've installed snaptik with Chrome on Android, it shows up in your phone's share menu. In TikTok, tap Share › More (or the three-dot icon) › snaptik: the site opens and finds the video on its own, no copying and pasting needed.
Download straight from the Share button (iPhone, iPad)
iPhone doesn't let websites appear in the Share menu the way Android does, but the built-in Shortcuts app can do the job. Set it up once:
- Open the Shortcuts app, tap + to create a new shortcut, and name it “Download with snaptik”.
- Open the shortcut's settings (the ⓘ icon) and turn on Show in Share Sheet. Under the input types, select only URLs and Text.
- Add the URL Encode action, with Shortcut Input as its input.
- Add a URL action, type
https://snaptik.meomeo.app/en/?url=, then insert the URL Encoded Text variable right after the=. - Add the Open URLs action, then tap Done.
From then on, in TikTok tap Share › More (the three-dot icon) › Download with snaptik: Safari opens snaptik and finds the video on its own, no copying and pasting needed.
Item names may differ slightly depending on your iOS version and device language.
Bookmark button for computers
Drag the button below onto your browser's bookmarks bar. Whenever you're watching a video on tiktok.com, click that bookmark and snaptik opens with that exact video.
This button is meant to be dragged onto your bookmarks bar (press Ctrl+Shift+B to show the bar), not clicked here.
If it won't download
- Open the link on TikTok again to check that the post still exists and isn't private.
- The link must be a post link (containing
/video/or/photo/, or a shortvt.tiktok.comlink), not a profile link. - TikTok sometimes blocks our server for a while: wait a few minutes and try again.
- Download button not responding on iPhone: check Settings › Safari › Downloads, and make sure you have free storage.
