In short
snaptik needs no account, sets no tracking cookies, has no ads or analytics tools, and does not store the videos you download.
What the server receives
- The link you paste: the server uses it to open the matching TikTok page and send the result back to you. The link is not logged.
- Public information about the post (description, account name, links to the files on TikTok's servers): kept for 10 minutes in Cloudflare's cache so that your next download tap doesn't have to read TikTok again, then deleted automatically.
- IP address: used only momentarily to limit the number of searches per minute; snaptik does not store it.
- snaptik runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may keep technical logs (access times, IP addresses) under its own policy to run its service and protect against attacks.
On your device
- Search history (up to the 20 most recent posts: post id, account name, cover image, a snippet of the description) is stored in your browser's storage on your device and is not sent anywhere. Tap Clear history on the home page to delete it.
- When you add snaptik to your home screen, the browser keeps copies of the pages so they open faster.
- The language you choose with the language button is also stored in your browser, so the site opens in the right language next time. If you haven't chosen one, the site follows your device's language.
Images from TikTok
Cover images, profile pictures and previews are loaded by your browser directly from TikTok's servers. snaptik turns off sending the page address (referrer) when loading these images.
